Great Valentine’s Day treat, indulge without all the calories. I LOVE great smelling products for the shower and bath. I also have really dry Ethnic skin so my hunt for quality, unique products is endless. Here’s a site with so many yummy things to choose from, you may need to dedicate a few hours to browsing. The name itself is tempting enough – Not Soap, Radio. But this company is not your typical suds and scents depot, it’s just…different. First, and this is truly cool, they offer “Say it With Suds” personalized shower and bath gels, for that special person who deserves a treat. Buy a bunch of Greatest Babysitter! gels and you’ll be everyone’s favorite mom. The kids’ stuff is equally groovy – my boys like the Monsters Be Gone Goop! Bubblebath because it’s green, slimy and fun. Lastly, and really, you wouldn’t dare leave without buying yourself a little something, there’s the “I’m Not Here, I’m Really….” line of decadent body potions in three decadent, delectable and relaxing fragrances such as “Walking the Red Carpet,” “Lounging Poolside at the Beachfront Resort” and “At the Spa.” You have to see all of it to believe it, but believe me, you are going to LOVE this stuff. Beauty Find: Vera Wang Sheer Veil is Sheer Bliss in the Dead of Winter

I’d been looking for a little something to bring me out of the winter blues and I found it – a new fragrance! Having been a fragrance nut in my younger years, I had steered away from perfume over the past few years because after kids, smells tend to overpower (or is that just me?). But it occurred to me how much I missed smelling pretty, not just like whatever lotion I manage to scrounge after my shower, but like something special. I found the solution and it’s so simple it’s silly. First, I found a beautiful fragrance that’s not too much, but just enough floral to linger most of the day without inciting emails from co-workers. The fragrance is Sheer Veil from Vera Wang. The packaging is the most beautiful violet, which is what drew me, and the scent is light, with gardenias, roses, lavender and other floral notes that work in concert to make you feel and smell just plain pretty. Second, I opted for the body lotion. Less risk of overdoing it and a great moisturizer for my dry winter skin. All in all, this little fragrance purchase has made a BIG impact on my winter doldrums.
