When I saw this pumpkin carriage bed, I thought “What little girl wouldn’t want to go to sleep every night feeling like Cinderella - before the clock struck midnight.” Then I saw the price tag, $47,000! Add on shipping and tax and that’s probably what I spent on my last THREE cars.
We weren’t lucky enough to inherit any cool antique furniture, so my daughters went straight from cribs to IKEA. We chose to spend a little extra on mattresses and super soft cotton sheets. I can’t imagine ever being rich enough to justify spending nearly fifty grand on a bed that my kid will outgrow or grow tired of. And the thought of moving that thing...although I did see a couple I like in the $2000 range, but even that’s still a stretch.
