Earth Day Find: Eco-Friendly Sigg 100 Site
Category: Children Meal Time Eco-Friendly Site Review

What: sigg100.com
Why: Sigg, maker of wonderful aluminum water bottles, launched an 100 anniversary site in February dedicated to environmental concerns. Sigg partnered with Laurie David’s organization, StopGlobalWarming.org to create the site. It will be up until Earth Day, April 22 and has a plethora of environmental information, including a tough quiz on global warming. The focus is a showcase of 100 Significant Eco-Moments in the past century.
At the site you can order water bottles, and enter to win a trip to Hawaii to attend the 5th annual Kokua Festival headlined by Jack Johnson. Sigg’s bottles are a great alternative to plastic bottles. They are reuseable, recyclable and do not leach harmful chemicals. The designs are really cute, you are bound to find perfect for each person in your family. My family has been using Sigg bottles for a long time and we love them.

Top Five Etsy Sites for Holiday Shopping
Category: Holidays Jewelry Site Review Top Five
Lately, I have become absolutely addicted to Etsy, a site for buying and selling handmade goods. There was a time when I’d be inspired to craft and sell my own wares. But unfortunately, that was in the time period pre-kid.
It’s more fun to buy anyway. On Etsy, you’ll find everything from furniture to handmade clothing, to toys and cards. Best of all, when you buy a gift on Etsy, you can be assured that it’s completely unique. If you’re mall-phobic (like me), you’ll love spending your time holiday shopping on this site. Here are my favorite picks.
1. The Fringe shop carries a line of beautiful knitted, sewn, and/or embroidered goods. And these aren’t your grandma’s scarves. All of them have a particular unique flair to them, whether they incorporate a decorative fringe or a stylish cowl neck. My favorites are the knit lariats ($45) —whenever I wear mine, I get so many compliments. And I’ve never found anything like it elsewhere.
2. Lizard Press is an Etsy store that sells cards that are hand printed using a letterpress on recycled and cotton paper. I particularly love their William Morris Gift Set ($21) — a set of six letterpress cards that reproduce his wallpaper and textile designs.
3. TV Tray Art offers some of the best gifts for grandparents (or even you!). You send them a photo of your loved one, which they craft into a custom pendant, keychain, or even Christmas ornament. I gave pendants to my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law for Mother’s Day this year, and it was a huge hit. Starts at $15.
4. I absolutely love jewelry made from wood. There’s a kind of earthy beauty about it that you can dress up or down. The assortment from Garnish incorporates beautiful wood engraved with gorgeous, iconic designs ($37). Great to send as a faraway gift, as it comes gift-wrapped in a beautiful box with an artist’s bio insert.
5. I got so carried away with my own wish list that I almost forgot the kids! The Rocking Pony offers beautifully hand-made kids’ accessories, like bibs, blankets, diaper bags and clothes. The patterns are hip and stylish and will definitely set you apart. Plus, it’s affordable—this Boho toddler dress is only $25.

Baby Find: Honest Baby Tees
Category: Children's Fashion Site Review
What: Honest Baby Tees
Why: There’s always that one mom who’s seemingly perfect. Her baby started sleeping through night at a ridiculously early age, behaves like a perfect angel, and walked and talked before anyone in the neighborhood. No need to be jealous. All babies are different. All moms are different, too.
We found a site that celebrates the “imperfect journey of parenting” and pokes fun at the myth of the perfect parent and the perfect baby. Honest Baby carries funny baby tees that say “I’ll walk when I’m good and ready” and “I heard Einstein was a late talker.” My favorite has to be “not sleeping through the night.” I can relate because my little guy didn’t completely start sleeping through the night soundly until he was almost two. But now…12 hours straight.
Price: Starting at $20

Site Find: Pee & Poo - Wear It & Play with It
Category: Children Children's Fashion Site Review

What: Pee & Poo for Plush Toys, Shirts & Underwear
Why: I never imagined my kid would be wearing “poo” or playing with “pee,” but he is and I don’t mind. Actually, I think it’s cute. Say WHAT?! Don’t worry, it’s not what you think. I’m talking about Pee & Poo, the line of plush toys, tees, underwear and more created by Swedish designer Emma Megitt that makes “pee” and “poo,” dare I say, cute and cuddly.
I’m a fan of the kids’ underwear, which feature a yellow droplet on the front and a brown dollop on the back. Yes, they’re graphic, but they’re cute as heck. They also remind me to have a light-hearted approach to potty training. If you’ve started the process, you know that it can be a real pain the you-know-what, so you might as well have fun with it and get a good laugh.
Tip: Get a matching pair of undies for yourself or Dad. Your kid will love being just like mom and dad.
Price: Starting at $7
