DadFinds Friday: Get Rid of His Rolls with LandRollers

Category: Dad

image

What: LandRoller Skates

Why: First impression of LandRollers?  It was a toss-up between “They must be out of their minds” and “How on earth do these things work?” Take one look at the skates and you’ll be thinking the same thing.

But put them on, and they’re actually easy to use—much more so than your regular in-line skates.  The large wheels uniquely mounted on the sides of the skates instead of the center provide greater stability and easier maneuverability, so even my husband, who’s not the most graceful skater, can skate in them easily and confidently.

It’s the perfect gift for the guy who hates the gym but wants to get rid of the sympathy weight, or the one who likes having the latest gear before anyone else in the neighborhood.  And if he’s into celebrity-inspired finds, check out the limited-edition Apolo Ono skates.

Price: $250

Find it: landroller.com

Dad

I am 53 years old but would love to skate with our new Doberman pup when she is older and strong enough. Do you think this is a good idea? I am not in bad shape but not the best either. The idea being that it would be good for us both. We also have a min pin who has had surgery and has a pin in her elbow, she is only a year and a half old but would really love to go. What do you think?
