Win it Wednesday

Whenever I'm feeling down I think of my family. My husband is an only child and I have one brother who lives in another state and don't see much. We both wanted a big family. As soon as we started trying to have a baby, we got pregnant with our first son who is 5. Anthony, now 2, took us over a year of trying and recently we decided to go for #3. After 8 months, we just found out we're pregnant. I love the thought of my husband and I getting to watch our kids having siblings and all the great times we'll have together. It's the best holiday gift we could have gotten.

I suffer from Chronic Pain so it usually takes ALOT to lighten up my days...HOWEVER, today is the BEST day I have had in over 7 years! I had a pain management procedure a week ago and this is the FIRST DAY that I have felt relatively pain free, it's like being reborn! I was able to wash my hair without my hands and arms falling asleep, I could blow-dry my hair, I could make love to my husband-all without horrible pain.... its a glorious day to be alive! Talk about what lightens up my day! NOTHING could bring me down today, Thank You Lord.

What lightens my day is the realization that no matter how bad my situation may seem at the moment, there's always someone out there who has it worse than I, and I am just pretty lucky to have been born in this country with the priveleges that we have as Americans that we should never take for granted.

When I'm not having a great day and my son looks in my face and smiles SOO big and gives me a hug... It melts me!

Posted by inalak  on  11/20  at  01:23 AM

It is so easy! I say to myself my husband's full name, then my two daughters' names, my five sons' names, my two sons-in-law names, my three daughters-in-law names, the names of my fifteen grandchildren AND the due dates of the two grandchildren on the way....Then with a huge grin, I think God for all my blessings of love.
