The girls are 4 and 6 and want to give him framed artwork for his office-so sweet!Posted by Catherine KingChuparkoff on 06/04 at 11:46 AM
That looks divine! The best gift ever for DH was definitely a day taking a class and racing cars at a Racing School! He loved it!!! And for presentation (and something to wrap/unwrap), he got a remote control race-car! Does it get any better than that?! I don't think soPosted by Kim B. on 06/04 at 11:54 AM
I think a great father's day gift would be a room in your house, redone as a mancave!! It doesn't have to be anything expensive, just a place for him to call his own. It should have a mini-fridge (stocked with his favorite beverage), tv with cable or satellite hook-up, a computer, a big, comfy chair, and some photos or posters of favorite sports teams, or anything he's interested in. I think that would an awesome father's day gift!!Posted by Shelley P. on 06/04 at 12:26 PM
Coffee mugs from Snapfish with family photos that show up when filled with hot liquid!Posted by Karen on 06/04 at 12:43 PM
I'm going to have my 2 year old paint a coffee mug for him.Posted by Kristi Haeusler on 06/04 at 01:11 PM
My husband would love baseball tickets and time off to go to the game. He would probably still appreciate the massage cushion when he's watching sports on tv.Posted by Megan on 06/04 at 01:44 PM
I took my DH to a Formula 1 race in Monza, Italy last year....kinda hard to top.Posted by Krisinda Smith on 06/04 at 02:16 PM
My hubbie would love an afternoon with the DS but without the dirty diapers. I love hearing the conversations that occur between the two.Posted by Jill on 06/04 at 02:18 PM
I think a great Father's Day Gift is more from the heart. One of my husbands favorite is when my gifts come wrapped and inside I stuff I Love You Coupons. I made them on the computer and put things like:This coupon is good for a massage your favorite meal.
or
This coupon is good for a date night.
Things like this are always great, affordable and from the heart.
Thanks for great contest!

Tickets to a nascar race in Dover, Delaware and shirt, mug jacket of his favorite driver Matt KensethPosted by Cathy M on 06/04 at 03:03 PM
My husband travels extensively for his job. Whether it is here in the states or other countries! His last job post was in Japan. Our oldest son goes out of state to college so seeing him is usually on holidays. To have my husband home and our sons is Father's Day to him. He is very close to our sons and they really look up to him as a role model. He has their respect and to me that is of the utmost importance. My husband has back spasms periodically and this would go in his recliner and his car. Please enter me in this delightful drawing. I really appreciate it! Thanks, CindiPosted by Cindi on 06/04 at 03:13 PM
We got my father-in-law a CUBS windbreaker and a Milwaukee Brewer Sausage Race t-shirt. He loves baseball! Get them what they love.Posted by SarahVicari on 06/04 at 04:10 PM

My husband is getting me to entertain his parents on Father's Day, including a homemade meal--without me complaining!Posted by Karen S-L on 06/04 at 08:02 PM
I made the fatal error one year of giving him a hotel bell for his retro office desk. He used it frequently. "Can I have a glass of water since you're doing nothing?"This would be a much nicer gift. Maybe he would get so relaxed he would pass out for awhile.
Posted by mannequin on 06/04 at 09:42 PM
My best Father's Day gift idea is to give him a foot massage, make him a great dessert and watch a movie with him that he picked out.Posted by Lana on 06/04 at 10:55 PM
Making his favorite beef nachos dish, uncomplainingly giving him control of the remote and letting him watch all the sport he can take (again, without any complaining! )- and not asking him to share TV time with Elmo for the whole day . . !Posted by Belinda A. on 06/04 at 11:36 PM
My husband commutes 600 miles + a WEEK, a gift like this could sure help him relax. This will be our 2nd father's day as our twins were just a month old last year, I was still recuperating from surgery. I like to buy tickets for DH - always two, and never to something I want to go to. One year he watched his fave football team from the second row, and another year he got to see one of his musical idols. The real gift? I don't go with him, lol.Posted by Christina Wheeler on 06/05 at 09:30 PM
My best father's day gift idea for people/families with limited income (such as ours) is to try and keep it simple. I crochet so I've been working on a hand crochetted afghan (he loves to relax on the couch with a lap blanket) and so, this year he will have a hand made gift, our girls have been working on a few artistic drawings that they will be painting here shortly. We will be making him an Italian creme cake (yummmm) as a gift and just enjoy each others company. Not a lot of money spent, yet the time with each other is priceless and that's whats important to us.This is a great contest...we could really use this.

a great gift will include a basket with a dvd, cd of a favorite artist, snacks, some libation and a magazine reflecting a special interest or hobby. I think we can all benefit from this cushion!Posted by Jamie on 06/05 at 10:13 PM
I think the best present is just to be a family. Maybe go on a day trip with the family or just go exploring. A nice gift I use to like on Mothers Day was anything hand made by the kids. It means so much more when you know they have taken the time especially for you. Even the home made cards were great and wonderful to save over the years.Posted by JOAN KAAIHUE on 06/05 at 10:22 PM

My father's favorite gift? That's easy. Nothing. He says he owns so much already he doesn't want, and doesn't have a place to put, anything else. So I always get him an "event." It could be dinner and a show, tickets for him and 3 of his best buddies to a sporting event, a trip to see a grandchild. These are the best gifts because they get him out of the house, he doesn't feel obligated to wear something or display it in the house, and he doesn't have to exchange it because it doesn't fit and isn't the right color.Posted by Celeste Campbell on 06/06 at 02:42 PM
sleeping in, breakfast in bed, day with the family having fun.Posted by drew on 06/06 at 03:05 PM

Last Father's Day I bought two tickets to the A's baseball game (baseball being his favorite sport) for him and our grown son to attend together (they're both into baseball). They had dinner in the City and then on to the game. DH was so excited, when he got home he asked me if I saw them on TV? Like I'm going to watch a baseball game. DH said this was one of his very favorite Father's Day presents ever. Plus, I got to stay home (alone) and do my crafts and watch TV, like HGTV:)Posted by Maggie Mannwieler on 06/06 at 06:05 PM
When I was able to be with my dad, I would just sit on his lap and watch wrestling. Unfortunately, he is no longer with me. I wish I could go back in time and replay the day. Thanks for the memories.Posted by Roberta Harwell on 06/06 at 06:23 PM
Our father is in his 80's and doesn't have a passion or hobby so he can be hard to buy for. One gift he loves is when we "splurge" and get him fruit or vegetable plants or bushes that are already started and well on their way to being productive. He just can't bring himself to purchase anything but seeds for his large gardens so it is a real treat for him to receive new and interesting plants that he knows will lie.Posted by Becca on 06/06 at 06:56 PM
