Whether you’re holiday shopping or preparing for a road trip, now is the time to stock up on DVDs. When the weather doesn’t cooperate or you get stuck in traffic, nothing saves the day quite like a movie your kids haven’t seen 100 times. And if things work out that you don’t need to pull out the DVD early, you’re one gift up for the holidays.
As far as I’m concerned Pixar can do no wrong, so you’re pretty safe with
Wall-E
($14.99). Adorable Wall-E is the last robot on earth and mom and dad will really like him because he doesn’t say anything for nearly 30 minutes. Every child (and adult) I know who saw Wall-E at the movies loved it. If your children are way into Wall-E, go for the
three-disc set
at $22.99 with lots and lots of extras.
Kung Fu Panda
($15.99) has some serious star voice talent like Angelina Jolie, Jack Black and Jackie Chan. But most kids won’t care about that. They’ll fall for the lovable characters and big humor.
For the girls, there is
Tinker Bell
($15.49) just released last month. The movie follows the adventures of Tinker Bell and her fairy friends in Pixie Hollow, and the extras include a “Tinker Trainer” game, music video and tour of Pixie Hollow.
There are heaps of other DVD deals, and spend $25 and delivery is free.
