What: Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker

Why: It’s a perfect addition to your July 4th picnic.  The Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker is a great group activity that results in homemade ice cream.  And you know what?  It comes in red and blue.  Just add ingredients (it comes with recipes, but you may find your own work better), put ice and rock salt in the other end, and toss it or roll it around for half an hour.  Try playing creative games while rolling it, such as 20 questions, or making some sort of a race.  If you’ve got a crowd, involve everyone in passing the ice cream ball around by developing a relay course.  You’ll certainly have a crowd once the ice cream is ready for eating.
