Get Cooking with The Sneaky Chef

What: The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies for Hiding Healthy Foods in Kids Favorite Meals

Why: Mac ‘n’ Cheese, pizza, brownies and cupcakes?  You’ll never look at them the same way after reading this book, and you’ll be serving them up with a smile.  Author Missy Chase Lapine has figured out a way to make family favorites healthier by “sneaking in” nutritious ingredients like cauliflower, spinach and zucchini.  The recipes are easy to follow and the results are yummy—even the pickiest of eaters in my family agrees.

My one gripe?  I would swap out “Sneaky Chef” with something like “Creative Chef” or “Clever Chef”.  That way I wouldn’t feel like I’m tricking my family every time I served up something from the book.  I’m just using healthy ingredients in a creative way, and that’s more clever than sneaky if you ask me.

Price: on sale for $8.77
