Heather Ledeboer is the owner of Mom4Life and has two children and another on the way this spring. Here are a few key items that she’ll be using to ease the transition to baby number three with as much organization and sanity as possible.
The ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer ($27) is a handy, compact device that has four timers that count up with the touch of a button and also has a host of other helpful features (such as a display backlight, soft glow nightly and belt clip) that are all designed with the parent in mind. Now if only it came with a button to do the laundry!
Even though I have done it twice before, I still have a hard time knowing exactly what my baby wants when they cry. I plan on trying to “learn the language” that my baby speaks to help reduce the frustration of decoding the cries of my third baby. To help with this, I’ll be reaching for the Dunstan Baby Language DVDs ($39.95) recently featured on the Oprah Show. This two-disk set helps you learn the first three words of your baby’s language (their cries) and provides tips and advice on how to “tune your ear” to their needs.
