1. Gift Certificate to Bliss Spa: The only thing better than a gift certificate to the Bliss spa is the afternoon off you get to use it. (Thanks, Daddy!) With locations in New York, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, Bliss offers innovative treaments like the Triple Oxygen Treatment facial (90 minutes that will leave you glowing) and the Hot Milk and Almond Pedicure (delicious).
2. Solomon’s Gourmet Cookies ($10-$42): If I’m going to indulge in sweets, they better be worth the time I invest working them off. Solomon’s is a sublime Chicago bakery that now ships all over the US. You can choose from traditional cookies or (my favorite) the boxed bars and brownies.
3. FatBoy Headdemock ($299): Now that Spring has arrived, I’ve resolved to spend every available moment outside. This beautifully designed hammock from FatBoy is made from nylon with a PVC coating that makes it water- and stain-resistant. The perfect place for afternoon storytime, or just to lounge while the kid is napping.
4. Starter Set from Adagio Teas: I successfully broke my coffee habit when I was pregnant. I switched to herbal teas and have been hooked ever since. Adiago Teas offers a variety of wonderful teas in a variety of flavors, but the thing that really thrills me is their ingenuiTEA teapot. You place loose tea into the pot, fill it with boiling water, and let it steep. When the tea’s ready, you rest the teapot on the rim of your mug and it filters into the mug. Genius! Their starter set ($19) includes the teapot, samples, and a guide to tea.
5. Mama Pendant ($90): The Mama Pendant from Fancy Jewels is one of the loveliest pendants I’ve ever seen. You email them a JPG of your beloved little one and they resize, laminate it, and set it beneath a clear quartz stone on a gorgeous modern pendant. Not at all too precious, this is the best way I’ve seen to show off your pride and joy.
