After baby has graduated from the musical mobile and wind-up stuffed animal that softly plays “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” it’s time to move on to actual music. While everyone loves a classic lullabye, not every baby will want to drift off to slumberland to Mozart or Brahms. My daughter was all about “The Nutrcracker” until she was about 18 months when she became fascinated with Elvis Presley or “Vis” as she called him. She’d watch Elvis movies with dad and for fun we gave her an Elvis CD to listen to at night. She loved it, and for months fell asleep to “Jailhouse Rock” and “All Shook Up.” I have a friend who said her little girl snoozed to Streisand.
